| Charles R. Schaul Charles R. Schaul, Founder and Principal of SixPillars Research Group, a futurist, has worked as a professional consultant for 30 years. Charles' analytic skills as applied to commerce and industry have been honed by more than 45 years of experience. He received practical business experience as owner or executive of businesses involved in the repair and rebuilding of underground mining machinery in West Virginia; heavy vehicle parts distribution and service and re-manufacturing of motor vehicle components in Phoenix, Arizona. He worked in many phases of the aluminum industry with Reynolds Metals Company (Strategic Planner); and micro electronics and military systems with Bowmar Instrument Corporation (Director of Corporate Development). After graduating college he served in the US Army, rising to the rank of Captain. Early in his work career he became a Registered Professional Engineer. Although no longer working in engineering, he maintained the registration in three states for more than 30 years. Charles is a polished public speaker. He is comfortable at work with groups of all types. As a Senior Consultant with the Hamilton Strategic Management Group for four years, Charles guided many companies through the American Management Association's strategic planning process. His clients ranged from large firms with sales exceeding the billion dollar mark, to small firms with sales of less than $10 million. Previously, as an intermediary in mergers and acquisition he was responsible for successfully closing many transaction in the three to 20 million dollar range. He also worked with business turnaround situations, and as corporate financial adviser to several firms. For several years he was a regular columnist for the Arizona Business Gazette, and recently has been published in the Boulder County Business Report, Boulder, Colorado. Currently, as a consultant with SixPillars Research Group he helps clients stop losing customers, create greater profits and enhance growth. In all engagements Charles' work has led to marked improvement for clients. Charles has a Bachelor of Science degree from Washington & Lee University, Lexington, Virginia and a Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering degree from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was a "Dean's List" student at Washington & Lee, and from Carnegie he graduated "With Honors" and was elected to Tau Beta Pi, Omicron Delta Kappa and Pi Tau Sigma. At both Washington & Lee and Carnegie he extensively studied accounting and economics. At Arizona State University he studied marketing and finance as a non-matriculated graduate student. He continues his education through business seminars and personal interest courses at local colleges. |
